Operation Bagration 1944
Following the launch of Operation Bagration, German Panzergrenadiers advance across the vast plains, forests, and villages of the Eastern Front. With the enemy seemingly everywhere, every road, crossroads, and woodland edge can become the scene of a deadly ambush or a fierce engagement. To slow Soviet counterattacks, the troops regularly establish defensive positions and lay minefields.
This set depicts a squad of Panzergrenadiers from the 25th Panzergrenadier Division preparing a defensive position on the Eastern Front. While two soldiers lay an anti-tank minefield along a likely avenue of approach, the squad leader surveys the terrain and coordinates the final preparations. Riflemen secure the perimeter while the MG42 team stands ready to unleash devastating fire as soon as the enemy enters the kill zone.
Each figure has been sculpted using historical references to faithfully capture the equipment, posture, and atmosphere of German Panzergrenadiers serving on the Eastern Front during the Second World War.
The set includes:
- 7 high-definition resin figures
- Squad leader with binoculars
- Two combat engineers laying a minefield
- Two riflemen providing security
- One MG42 team (gunner and assistant gunner)
An original scene, historically inspired and ideal for depicting the preparation of an ambush or a defensive position in a World War II diorama.
